We visited Paris for three days / two nights in April 2007. We stayed (again) at the Corona Opera mainly because of its superb location - 15 minute walk (if so inclined from Gare du Nord), 10 minute walk from the Louvre, two minute walk to nearest Metro and right in the heart of a district packed full of bars, restaurants and shops.

The hotel itself is located in a secluded lane / alley, away from the main road. As such, it is incredibly quiet at night which, bearing in mind that Paris does not seem to sleep, is very welcome.

The rooms are not big - nor is the lift which takes two people at a squeeze ! - but they are clean and the only notable omission is tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is varied, fresh and cheap (6 euro). The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. Would I stay here again ? Most definitely.
